What You Should Know Before Your Stay in Our Treehouses in Brittany
To ensure your experience in our treehouses or cottages in the heart of the Quénécan forest is as peaceful as it is unforgettable, we have gathered here the answers to the most frequently asked questions. Accommodation, amenities, schedules… we’ll tell you everything to properly prepare for your nature getaway!

Please arrive before nightfall to fully enjoy the natural setting.
🚨 In case of late arrival, please contact us in advance.
👉 The cabins must be vacated by 11 AM.
Are animals allowed?
No, pets are not allowed in the cabins or lodges
Is there water and electricity in the cabins?
No: there is no running water or electricity in the cabins. There are dry toilets and a supplementary heater, as well as water in jerrycans. A flashlight is recommended. You have access to the sanitary block 24/7 to take a shower and charge your devices!
Where can I park my vehicle?
A private parking is available for you at the entrance of the estate.
Are the beds made upon arrival?
Yes, the beds are ready for your arrival: comforter, sheets, and pillows are provided, along with an extra blanket.
Do the cabins have restrooms?
Yes, each cabin is equipped with dry toilets, as well as water in a jerry can. You have access to the sanitary block 24/7 to take a shower.
Is the bathroom linen provided?
No, please bring your towels and toiletries.
Can you smoke in the cabins?
No, all our cabins are non-smoking. It is also prohibited to smoke in the forest (prefectural decree).
Are there any safety equipment?
Yes, all the cabins and lodges are equipped with smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher.
Is there heating?
A supplementary heater is available in each cabin if needed.
What should be planned for the stay?
Shoes suitable for the forest, flashlight for nighttime travel, binoculars, and charged phone (no charging available on site).
How to access the cabins & lodges?
The cabins and cottages are located at Guénault, 22570 Bon Repos sur Blavet (Near Perret) in central Brittany, in the heart of the Quénécan forest and around the site of the Forges des Salles, a former historic village.
Access: avoid GPS, follow the signs after the stone bridge of the Nantes to Brest canal, then take the road behind the Café de l’Abbaye to the reception (about 1.5 km, private parking)
What are the arrival and departure times?
Arrival:
In winter (November–March): 3:00 PM–5:30 PM (please notify us by email the day before)
Other seasons: 3:30 PM–6:30 PM
Departure: before 11 AM
Feel free to contact us if you think you will arrive beyond opening hours.
Is breakfast included?
Yes, it is included: served between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM at the foot of the cabin by "the forest elves"
Can we dine on site?
A catering service (appetizers, meals) is available by reservation. See the "Catering" section of the website.
What about accessibility for people with reduced mobility?
Some cabins, like Bon Repos on stilts at over 4 m, are accessible to people with reduced mobility
Can I come pregnant and/or with a baby ?
The treehouses are accessible to everyone.
It is recommended to notify the team in advance so they can advise you on the most suitable accommodation and ensure maximum comfort and safety. Upon request, we can provide you with a travel cot.
Do we feel dizzy?
🏕️ Low cabins or on stilts:
Some cabins, like Engoulevent or Bon Repos, are on stilts or at a low height (less than 5 m), with secure access (stairs or ramp).
These accommodations are ideal if you are afraid of heights or if you have a slight fear of heights.
🌲 Treehouses:
Other cabins, like Tapis d'Or (6 m) or Charbonnière (up to 11 m), are higher up, accessible by stairs via a walkway, and may impress those prone to vertigo.
All cabins are equipped with sturdy guardrails, secure terraces, and framed access.
🔎 Tip: If you are very sensitive to vertigo, mention it when booking — the team can guide you to the most suitable accommodation.
Can I visit the historical site of the Forges des Salles ?
Yes, absolutely! Located a few kilometers from the unusual accommodations, the Forges des Salles are an old ironworking village from the 18th–19th century, restored and open for visits, either freely or guided.
July and August: open every day from 2 PM to 6:30 PM, with guided tours at 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM
May, June, and September: open on weekends and public holidays, at the same times
Closed from November to March and during off-season without group reservations
Full adult price: €9 - €5 for people staying in the cabins and lodges.
Reduced rate: €7
Free for children under 10 years old
🧭 To discover on site
The reconstructed village includes: the master's house, the chapel, the school, the canteen, the workers' housing, the workshops, the blast furnace building, and the terraced gardens. A permanent exhibition retraces the life of the inhabitants and the organization of the ironworking site.
Otherwise, during closing hours, you can stroll around the site.
Can I offer gift vouchers?
Gift vouchers allow you to offer a stay in a cabin or a lodge in Quénécan 🌲. Find the essential points on our Give page
🎁 How to purchase it?
The voucher can be purchased directly online on the website or via contact by email/phone.
You can choose a free value or a voucher for a specific type of cabin (e.g.: 1 night for 2 people with breakfast).
The voucher is generally sent by email in PDF format (to print or forward).
The voucher is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
The person receiving the voucher must contact the accommodation by email or phone to book the desired date.
It is necessary to specify the voucher number at the time of booking. Subject to availability, especially during peak season.
Vouchers can only be used once.
In case of booking a stay with a cost higher than the voucher, the difference must be paid on-site.
If the stay is canceled or not consumed, the voucher is not refunded.
